Transport – closer than you think

Wherever you are in the world, you will find Stockholm easily accessible. Most of Europe is reachable by train and within three hours by air. It is a key hub for flights to major destinations in the Baltic Sea Region, the European Union, and the rest of the world. Stockholm is truly a great meeting point – in every sense.

GREEN TRAVEL POLICY

A green travel policy should be implemented for the IUFRO World Congress 2024 in Stockholm. The policy should identify and promote ways to encourage a range of sustainable, or more environmentally friendly transport modes.

Based on Nordic environmental policy on travelling, the policy is suggested to be developed in collaboration with Stockholm city, the IUFRO member organizations and the transport sectors in the region.
